Noviter NFBW

The Noviter NFBW fluidised bed boiler has been designed as a base load boiler for district heating plants. Its output range is 5 – 12 MW.

All bio fuels, such as bark, wood chips, sawing waste and even peat are suitable for combustion. Recycled fuel or sludge can also be used as a mixing fuel. One of the strongest advantages of a fluidised bed boiler is the possibility to use fuels with variable combustion properties.

In the design of the boiler we have paid special attention to reliability and operational dependability. It is based on decades of operational experience in municipal and industrial plants. We are continually striving to develop our technology. Maintenance and operational requirements are small due to progressive technical solutions.

The operating values of Noviter boilers are top-class and meet all legislative requirements in every way. The pressure vessel is designed according to the latest PED standards.

The boiler consists of two parts: a water-tube structured combustion chamber and a fire-tube structured convection section. The fluidised bed is integrated into the lower part of the furnace. The walls of the furnace around the grid have a refractory to reach the required temperature.

The convection section is connected to the upper part of the combustion chamber by an intermediate duct. The installation time of the boiler is very short. The only pressure vessel work at the site is the connection of the pipe between the combustion chamber and convection section.

The fluidised bed consists of a sand and/or ash layer, which is fluidised with either an air or air/flue gas mixture. The temperature of the fluidised bed is normally about 700 – 950 °C.

The boiler has ignition burners and, if necessary, can also be equipped with a load burner.
