Power plant using solid fuel, Ilomantsi

In 2005 Noviter supplied Vapo Oy Voima with a steam boiler with equipment to their power plant in Ilomantsi. The steam capacity of the plant is about 20 MW and the pressure / temperature of the steam going to the turbine are 46 bar(a) / 460 ^oC.

The power plant in Ilomantsi produces 3 MW of electricity, 8 MW of process steam to the needs of the pellet factory and 8 MW of district heat to the city of Ilomantsi.

The main fuels of the plant are peat and wood chips, which are burned in a low emission fluidized bed boiler. The boiler plant represents the latest techniques in so called small power plants.
