Boiler calculations

In thermal and fluid dynamic dimensioning of Noviter boilers, we benefit from the experience we have gathered from the operation of already built boilers, combined with the most developed calculation methods.

In addition to our own dimensioning tools, we use the CFD software  Fluent (CFD = Computational Fluid Dynamics), which is a very versatile design tool when computing such effects as flow and heat transfer. With this software we can observe even the most complicated problems in 3D. We have successfully used CFD in boiler design since 1998. 

The pressure losses and flows of complicated piping can be solved with CFD
In addition to heat transfer, the trajectories of particles can also be calculated. 
Boiler parts can be designed so that  some of the fly ash will be separated before the heat surfaces.
It is possible even to show buoyancy-driven flows, based on density differences in fluid.
Combustion and radiation heat transfer can be calculated with CFD.
