Bio fuel boilersWhen firing bio fuels, the fluidised bed boiler is often the most cost effective and best solution. The bio fuels easily available in the vicinity of the boiler plant are extremely suitable for fluidised bed combustion. In addition to this recycled energy fuel or sludge can be used as a mixing fuel.
In Europe we have decades of experience in using fluidised bed technology. During recent years this technique has been applied to bigger and bigger power plant boilers. Many users have chosen fluidised bed technology for combustion at small power plants because of its overall economy. It is the predominant combustion method in power plants in Finland and Sweden. Noviter fluidised bed boilers are multi-fuel boilers. Fluidised bed technology does not set strict quality requirements for fuel. The advantage of this combustion method is the possibility to use fuels which are moist and have low thermal value. The boilers are very easy to use and have high availability. Noviter boilers also meet all valid emission requirements. The flue gas emissions are lower than all emission standards in force. When required, the boiler plant can also be equipped with such auxiliary items as a flue gas scrubber, electrostatic filter or textile filter. In the design of boilers and combustion devices, we have taken notice of recent research results and also of the long-term operating experience of users. Noviter bio fuel boiler plants are designed to be automatic. Depending on each individual case, they can be operated either under periodic control or with just one person per shift. |
